Guru Jule Sims

Guru Jule Sims began his martial arts journey at the age of 15, training in JKD, Kali, and Pencak Silat under Sifu Mark Balluff, whose innovative approach ignited a passion for diverse fighting arts. Exploring Tai Mantis with Sifu Mike M. and Hung Gar with Sifu Donald H., he discovered his true calling in Pencak Silat after a powerful demonstration by Honorary Guru Cliff S.

Captivated by its fluid techniques and cultural depth, he has been dedicated to the art ever since. With over 20 years of study, Guru Jule earned full Guru status in Bukti Negara on May 20, 2016. As a passionate instructor, he now leads dynamic classes in the Bay Area and at the Bukti Negara headquarters in Los Angeles.

His beginner-friendly sessions, including specialized women’s self-defense workshops, blend practical techniques, fitness, and the rich traditions of Silat — welcoming students of all levels. Whether you’re looking to build confidence, master self-defense, or explore martial arts, join Guru Jule to experience the transformative power of Pencak Silat.
